IT Operations Engineer

Responsibilities
- System & Server Management
- Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain production and test servers (Linux/Windows).
- Perform regular system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning to ensure stable and efficient operations.
- Network & Security Management
- Maintain internal network devices, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure reliable connectivity and security.
- Implement security policies, monitor threats, and respond to incidents to safeguard data and system integrity.
- Automation & Operations Tools
- Use tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Terraform for automated deployment and configuration management.
- Develop scripts (Shell, Python, etc.) to streamline and automate daily operational tasks.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Build and maintain monitoring systems (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Quickly identify and resolve system, network, and application incidents to ensure business continuity.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Implement and execute data backup and recovery strategies to secure critical business data.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, drills, and incident response.
- Cross-team Collaboration
- Support R&D and QA teams with environment setup and troubleshooting.
- Participate in architecture design and provide operational support for new projects.
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- 2+ years of relevant IT operations experience.
- Permanent Residents or Singapore citizen preferred
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with common databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) including deployment, maintenance, and tuning.
- Familiarity with middleware (Nginx, Redis, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, routing protocols, etc.).
- Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and learning ability with a high sense of responsibility.
- Good teamwork, communication, and stress management skills.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Experience in container orchestration and microservices (Kubernetes, Istio, etc.).
- Relevant certifications (RHCE, AWS/Azure/Alibaba Cloud, CCNA/CCNP, etc.) are a plus.
