As a Speech Therapist, Various Settings, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Perform thorough patient assessments by applying structured clinical reasoning to develop and confirm diagnostic hypotheses.
• Identify and evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders associated with referred conditions using evidence-based assessment methods.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on current research, with emphasis on patient safety and treatment effectiveness.
• Monitor patient progress, maintain detailed and accurate documentation, and uphold strict confidentiality standards.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams by participating in ward rounds, clinics, meetings, and contributing to research or quality improvement initiatives.
• Support departmental objectives by building and maintaining strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Pursue continuous professional development through participation in clinical training, education programs, and learning opportunities.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior staff, students, and therapy assistants to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care.
• Supervise Therapy Assistants to ensure proper adherence to established best practices in treatment delivery.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor in Speech Pathology, Speech & Language Therapy or equivalent field.
• Valid AHPC registration or eligible for registration.
