Senior Executive, Marine Claims - Hull (up to $6k) (ID: 692358)

• Support the Head and Team Manager in managing Marine (Hull) claims in line with corporate strategy and operational objectives.
• Analyse claims and recovery reports to track performance metrics and drive improvements in claim outcomes.
• Manage claims efficiently in accordance with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines, ensuring control over loss costs and claim expenses.
• Review and handle claims investigations, including assessment of liability, damages, and potential fraud cases.
• Lead and support negotiations on claims settlements, including setting reserves and authorising payments within delegated authority.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. underwriting, actuarial, risk control) and external partners to ensure effective claims management.
• Oversee vendor management, including handling of litigated claims and external service providers.
• Provide recommendations on claims policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on marine insurance regulations, industry developments, and emerging trends.
• Contribute to training development and knowledge sharing within the claims team.
• Support portfolio analytics and reporting as part of claims performance management.

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in marine claims handling, including assessment, investigation, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and settlement.
• Strong technical knowledge of marine insurance, particularly Institute Time Clauses.
• Good understanding of legal, regulatory, and litigation frameworks within the marine insurance industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Adaptable, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
