Job Description

Join our university retail team and be part of creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for students, alumni, and visitors. You will represent the university’s brand through the sale of souvenirs and merchandise while supporting daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, proactive, and professional service
• Engage customers and provide product recommendations
• Handle enquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively

• Support achievement of store sales targets
• Promote ongoing campaigns and featured products
• Upsell and cross-sell merchandise where appropriate

• Operate POS system (sales, refunds, exchanges) accurately
• Maintain store cleanliness and organisation
• Replenish stock and ensure shelves are well-merchandised
• Assist in stocktaking and inventory control

• Ensure displays are neat, attractive, and aligned with guidelines
• Support promotional and seasonal setups

• Coordinate daily store operations and staff deployment
• Plan roster and ensure adequate manpower coverage
• Provide guidance to part-time staff

• GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Level, Diploma or equivalent
• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
• Service-oriented, friendly, and approachable personality
• Good communication skills in English (Mandarin is an advantage to serve a wider customer base)
• Basic numeracy and confidence in handling cash transactions
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Responsible, reliable, and a team player

• Interest in campus environment and lifestyle retail
• Ability to engage a diverse customer base (students, staff, alumni, tourists)
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take initiative

• Working Hours: 42 hours per week (rostered schedule)
• Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Salary: $2,300 – $3,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
