Job description:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

• Develop and maintain robust financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Conduct variance analysis, identify key drivers and provide explanations for deviations from budget and forecast.
• Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions

Reporting & Insights:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly and annual performance reports for internal stakeholders (e.g. management, department heads).
• Translate complex financial data into clear, concise, and actionable presentations and narratives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends, highlighting risks and opportunities.

Data Analysis & Modeling:

• Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources.
• Utilize advanced Excel and other analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to manipulate and analyze financial data.
• Develop and refine financial models for valuation, profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with various departments (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Operations) to understand their financial needs, gather data, and provide financial insights.
• Support decision-making by providing financial expertise and analytical support to business partners.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes and reporting.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and tools.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Professional certifications (CFA, ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in a finance analyst, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), or related role.
• Experience in engineering industry is a strong advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, including financial modelling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) and accounting principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Software is a plus.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.
