Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Industry & Internships)
This role will ensure strong alignment between industry needs and curriculum intent to enhance student learning and employability.
You will also serve as a key liaison with industry partners for internships and industry-based learning, managing relationships and facilitating all industry-related projects, collaborations, and engagement events.
In addition, you will contribute to the University-wide industry and career services, by supporting industry-based learning initiatives, career-related events and administering the UAS Career Portal.
This role is employed directly by the University of the Arts Singapore Limited.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with industry partners across relevant arts and creative sectors.
- Engage industry partners regularly to understand workforce needs, trends and collaboration opportunities.
- Advise industry partners on suitable collaboration models that translate interest into structured student learning and employability opportunities.
- Work with faculties and schools to align industry engagement activities with programme objectives and learning outcomes.
- Identify and cultivate new partnerships to expand the range and quality of student opportunities.
- Plan and support industry-related initiatives such as networking sessions, employer talks, industry visits and collaborative projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact for LASALLE internships and Industry-Based Learning (IBL) programmes, overseeing applications, progress and completion of students.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the UAS Career Portal including user support, issue resolution and report generation, maintaining accurate internship and IBL records, conducting training and briefings and developing supporting materials and communications for stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, with at least three years and above of relevant experience in an educational institution.
- Experience in event planning, preferably within arts management.
- Experience in industry partnerships, business development, or employment engagement, preferably in the arts and creative sectors.
- Good relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate industry needs to practical education or talent development initiatives.
- Ability to embrace a student-centric service culture, and work well as a member of a team, and collaborate with colleagues at all levels and independently.
- Appreciation and sensitivity to arts and culture, and the development of young people through education is desirable.
- Proficient in creating professional presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Ability to use digital tools to capture, analyse, and report on partnership engagement and project outcomes.
