About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our expanding design and build team. This role is pivotal in delivering innovative and sustainable landscape solutions that integrate ecological design principles, meet client needs, and create long-term value across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership
- Lead concept development, design detailing, working drawings, and project presentations
- Integrate native species, water-sensitive urban design, and climate-positive materials into design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with planting standards, soil health, and ABC Waters / NParks requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across all project stages to ensure design intent and quality outcomes are achieved.
- Conduct site visits to oversee design implementation and resolve technical challenges.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of green design processes and documentation standards.
- Participate in client meetings and support pitches for new projects
- Advocate for the long-term ecological, social, and economic value of green and sustainable design.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative and creative design culture.
- Share best practices in ecological detailing and sustainable construction.
- Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support project and organisational goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture with a strong passion for ecological design
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in landscape design and project coordination (preferably in sustainable/green projects).
- Proven leadership with the ability to manage multiple projects independently from concept to completion
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM (e.g., Revit), SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Strong freehand sketching and visual storytelling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage clients, consultants, and internal teams effectively.
- Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel for site visits, meetings, and project coordination
