Responsibilities:

• Triage specialist outpatient appointment requests from various referral sources within the Department of Medicine.
• Ensure timely appointment scheduling by confirming attendance with patients and managing cancellations or rescheduling.
• Collaborate with Clinical Heads and Clinic Managers to prioritize patient visits based on urgency and available clinic slots.
• Communicate with referring healthcare stakeholders regarding the status of outpatient referrals.
• Analyze and compile appointment wait time data to support departmental reviews and create management reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to appointment allocation and triaging, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at improving appointment wait time management processes.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the reporting officer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, General Science, Nursing, or a related field.
• Registered Nurses with a Degree in Nursing are welcome to apply.
• Relevant experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Competence in IT applications and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
