Job Description: BIM Modeller (Plumbing & Sanitary)
- BIM Development & Technical Authoring
- Model Ownership: Independently develop and maintain high-accuracy 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit, including the creation of specialized MEP families and libraries tailored for plumbing and sanitary services.
- Spatial Design & Optimization: Sketch and design MEP layouts and routings, ensuring all services are optimized for space constraints, maintenance access, and operational efficiency.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee BIM project setup and ensure the continuous update of models from the initial design phase through to as-built completion.
- Coordination & Virtual Design (VDC)
- Clash Resolution: Perform comprehensive clash analysis using Navisworks; lead the identification and resolution of interdisciplinary conflicts to ensure a clash-free construction model.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Represent the Plumbing & Sanitary trade in coordination meetings with Project Consultants and other disciplines to synchronize design changes and model updates.
- VDC Presentation: Utilize Navisworks and BIM tools to present Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) workflows, facilitating clear communication of technical issues to the project team.
- Documentation, Standards & Submission
- Technical Deliverables: Produce and extract high-quality shop drawings, isometrics, schematics, and as-built documentation from the BIM platform according to project schedules.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all BIM deliverables align with BIM BEP/LAE BIM GUID standards and satisfy all authority submission and COBie data requirements.
- Information Management: Maintain rigorous document control for technical data, drawing records, and revision histories to ensure all project members are working from the latest information.
- Experience: 2+ years of BIM modeling experience, specifically in Plumbing & Sanitary/MEP.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
- Knowledge: Familiar with Singapore BIM standards (BCA/MOM requirements) and shop drawing production.
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Building Services field.
- Skills: Strong spatial awareness for MEP routing and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
