Sales Manager (Power Systems)
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive profitable growth across Southeast Asia for one of our clients, a leading Power Systems business. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role focused on winning new business, expanding key accounts, and building a strong opportunity pipeline across end users, consultants, contractors, and system integrators.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of driving both direct and channel sales across Southeast Asia, with the technical credibility to influence consultants and the commercial gravitas to negotiate with C-suite executives. As an expert in power system integration, the candidate will need to be comfortable traveling up to 40% to secure regional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategy for the Southeast Asia market, aligned with regional and global priorities.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business by engaging target accounts and key decision makers; shape deals from early opportunity through to closure.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with end customers, influencers, consultants, contractors, and system integrators—both directly and through distribution partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with local, regional and global teams to create compelling proposals and close complex opportunities.
- Own pipeline management: drive opportunities through sales stages, and ensure accurate, disciplined CRM and sales/project system updates.
- Forecast and plan: set budgetary forecasts and sales volume targets for SEA; provide market intelligence and reporting for leadership decisions.
- Support channel success: work with distribution to define the level of involvement needed to win; guide pricing/quotation strategy and provide front-line support where required.
- Enable market presence: represent the business at trade events and associations; work with Marketing/Engineering to develop and present technical papers and application-specific content.
- Act as a subject matter expert in power generation products/solutions, industry standards, and on-site power system design and integration.
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant sales experience within the power generation / power systems industry.
- Proven success in direct and channel sales, with strong capability to present and negotiate with senior executives and key decision makers.
- Highly results-driven, competitive, and comfortable operating independently across a regional territory.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; collaborative style and ability to work effectively across functions.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40%).
