Job Purpose

The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the financial operations and reporting requirements across the APAC region, with a particular focus on cashflow consolidation, payroll administration, intercompany reconciliation, and accounts coordination.

They will be expected to hold strong analytical and communication skills, as well as relevant practical experience in order to support the day-to-day financial management and contribute to overall performance delivery.

The role will involve working across multiple business units and reporting cycles. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Examples include the Fund Finance, Tax and Treasury teams, as well as external consultants such as corporate secretaries, payroll vendors, and regional service providers.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Consolidate monthly cashflow reports for head office
  • Handle payroll matters across APAC
  • Coordinate accounts receivable and payable
  • Manage monthly intercompany reconciliation
  • Support colleagues across APAC with finance and payroll-related queries
  • Assist with monthly management account consolidation
  • Support the APAC Financial Controller with head office reporting
  • Assist in corporate secretarial matters across APAC
  • Contribute to budget preparation
Person Specification
  • Previous experience within an accounting function and preferably in the investment management industry whilst gaining qualification.
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 advantageous
  • Proficient Excel skills and competence with other Microsoft Office packages
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude, willingness to learn and develop their skills and knowledge. Will be able to demonstrate these qualities during interview
  • Good written and spoken English
  • A team player who works for the benefit of the team as a whole
