Responsibilities:

• Technically lead a team of strong In-Charge (ICs) to deliver scalable IT consulting services to solve the customer/business problem incrementally.
• Provide input to Application Development organizations with optimal solutions, root cause analytics, problem resolution, capacity demand.
• Product development according to markets/customers trends, needs, requests together with other Departments required for such development.
• Preparation of dedicated technical files for tenders/inquiries/customers
• Collect data from Capacity Planning's database infrastructure, compile and analyze data, produce and deliver accurate and complete capacity reports to Platform Engineering Services and Deployment Engineering management, Corporate/Finance and Division Capacity teams per defined schedules.
• Build automation capabilities in Capacity & Performance analytics, Capacity as a Service framework, and data collection with large data
• Maintain and validate capacity/capital/space models to enable accurate assessment of production loading needs.
• Create and deliver regularly scheduled capacity reports, providing detailed analysis of observed trends and investigating any anomalies discovered
• Create dashboards to monitor utilization behaviour and changes in product/service distribution across the network.
• Mentors Operations support staff by providing technical leadership and training
• Extract data using Capacity Planning's tools that define network device configuration, develop traffic models and perform analysis of capacity impacts to the as-built network
• Work closely with Azure core (Compute, Storage, SQL) cloud platform team to understand the current platform capabilities for doing capacity management
• Envision and build a highly scalable capacity allocation system which can be plugged in the core platform to enable auto capacity management and resource prioritization
• Work with operations architect team in architecting infrastructure solutions to achieve infrastructure efficiency
• Learning on the tools and the utilization of dedicates softwares to deliver technical results as requested by markets/customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer science, Information Technology or related studies. Must possess strong mathematical, statistical and analytical skills. Preferred candidate would have experience with simulation or analytical modelling experience.
• At least 8 to 12 years’ experience in developing and supporting web & cloud-based software applications. Exposure to large-scale software production environments is preferred.
• Have a complete understanding of computer mainframe capacity planning concepts and be able to support capacity forecasting.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/Java programming is a prerequisite.
• Automation experience (shell scripting, and general system programming – knowledge of Perl is mandatory)
• Proficient in script languages such as Perl, Python, and/or Shell
• Knowledge of basic network architecture, operating system and application level troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborating across multiple teams such as the application development team, product management and production operations
• Usage of open source tools for monitoring and automated installation of applications
• Working knowledge of Apache or any web servers is preferred.
• Knowledge/experience with large storage systems like NetAPP is advantageous.
