Storage Administrator
What you'll do:
As a Storage Administrator, your role will be pivotal in overseeing storage-related projects and offering level 3 operational support across the APAC region. Your responsibilities will encompass upholding configuration standards, offering technical assistance to deployment teams, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.You will also be tasked with executing storage resource allocations and migrations when necessary. Your ability to liaise effectively with various teams throughout different project stages will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will support storage vulnerability checks, baseline checking, and storage hardening while generating necessary health-check/dashboard/security compliance reports.
- Support projects in APAC regions managed by the storage team
- Uphold configuration standards and design guidelines for storage systems
- Offer technical assistance to deployment teams
- Comply with and enhance standard operating procedures within the bank
- Execute storage resource allocations and migrations when required
- Liaise with various teams during different project stages
- Support storage vulnerability, baseline checking and storage hardening
- Generate health-check/dashboard/security compliance reports as required
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Storage Administrator position brings a wealth of experience in system support on an enterprise storage platform. You possess technical knowledge in EMC PMAX/VMAX & ECS, Pure storage, NetApp, Brocade switches and CleverSafe.Your sound understanding of storage hardware and system services is complemented by your hands-on experience in performing storage code upgrades. With fluent verbal and oral English communication skills, you are able to effectively liaise with various teams throughout different project stages.
A minimum of 3 years' project management experience would be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of system support experience on enterprise storage platform
- Technical knowledge in EMC PMAX/VMAX & ECS, Pure storage, NetApp, Brocade switches and CleverSafe
- Sound knowledge of storage hardware and system services (volume management operations, file system management, data migration, snapshot & replication technologies, connectivity technology)
- Good understanding in storage upgrade process and hand-on experience in performing storage code upgrades
- Fluent verbal and oral English communication skill
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience will be a plus
