Group Product Manager, Receivables Purchase - Bukit Merah
JOB SUMMARY
The Global Product Manager, Receivables Purchase is responsible for driving the end-to-end strategy, execution, and performance of Receivable Purchase activities within Trade and Working Capital. This role ensures alignment with the Bank’s strategic priorities by delivering customer value, optimising cost efficiencies, and enabling digital product growth.
You will lead the global product agenda across financial and non-financial performance, new initiatives, product development, risk and governance, and product strategy – ensuring strong alignment with global trade objectives. The role is fully responsible for driving revenue growth, maximizing returns, and ensuring commercial success across key markets through effective product lifecycle management and robust governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Product Ownership- Define and execute the global strategy for Receivables Purchase in alignment with Trade & Working Capital objectives.
- Lead end-to-end product ownership—including vision, design, commercialisation, lifecycle, and governance.
- Drive global product roadmap prioritisation and delivery to meet client needs and competitive differentiation.
- Lead holistic product backlog prioritisation and oversee global deployment readiness of digital Receivables initiatives, ensuring alignment with client needs, market trends, and cross-functional execution.
- Monitor market, client, and regulatory trends to continuously evolve product value propositions.
- Accountable for driving product P&L performance and achieving revenue, utilisation, and returns targets.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and collaborate with Sales, Coverage, and Structuring for pipeline growth.
- Deliver product positioning, client propositions, and commercialization toolkits across key markets.
- Ensure seamless execution from pre-sales to post-launch, with clarity on roles and responsibilities.
- Champion digital adoption and product innovation to scale Receivables solutions globally.
- Collaborate with Trade Digital, Data teams, and external platforms to deliver digital capabilities and transformation.
- Lead product digitisation agenda (platform, process, and delivery models) and thought leadership.
- Maintain strong client engagement loops to inform product design, enhancements, and commercial priorities.
- Translate competitive intelligence and feedback into actionable product and strategy improvements.
- Ensure a balanced, regionalised view of client needs is embedded across development initiatives.
- Ensure robust risk controls (operational, credit, financial crime, regulatory) across the product lifecycle.
- Work with second-line teams to manage risk appetite and ensure “fit-for-purpose” propositions.
- Drive governance discipline through compliance with bank policies and the Product Programme Guide (PPG).
- Responsible for ensuring the appropriate governance is in place prior to the launch of new products/propositions at a global level.
- Proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks across the product/proposition at a global level.
- Deliver end-to-end business performance accountability, including lifecycle health, process efficiency, and commercial KPIs.
- Conduct annual product reviews, ensuring propositions remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams globally to align product delivery with growth, returns, and client outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams and nurture a high-performance, values-driven culture.
- Influence a wide stakeholder set across Product, Sales, Risk, Technology, and external partners.
- Mentor talent and develop Receivables capability across regional and central product teams.
- Conduct training and workshops for internal stakeholders across specific solutions to strengthen Receivables knowledge across the Bank.
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with vendors and third-party platforms to co-develop client solutions and expand delivery capabilities

Our Ideal Candidate- 10+ years of regional or global product management experience in trade finance
- Experience with digital product development including Agile methodology.
- Strong project management skills and experience in working cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to commercialise new products with internal stakeholders and with external clients.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to use information to identify new business opportunities and room for improvement/efficiency gains
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders directly or indirectly, across the SCB global network and with vendors.
- Ability to keep abreast of changes in the market, with customer requirements and with competitors.
- Experience in working with vendors to jointly deliver solutions.
- Depth of understanding of financial regulation impacting the International Trade Business.
