Preschool Chinese Language Teacher (Lead / N2 Level)
We are hiring an experienced Preschool Chinese Language Teacher to join a respected international preschool located near Mountbatten MRT (East Coast area). This is a full-time, in-house position overseeing the Chinese curriculum for the Nursery 2 (N2) level, working in partnership with an English Lead and an Assistant Teacher.
The school adopts a play-based, Reggio- and Montessori-inspired approach and follows the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC). As the Lead Chinese Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering age-appropriate Mandarin lessons to children aged 3–4, within a co-teaching model.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Mandarin lessons for the N2 cohort (ages 3–4), including curriculum delivery and classroom planning
- Collaborate with the English Lead and Assistant Teacher in co-planning and daily coordination
- Facilitate child-led, inquiry-based Mandarin learning through play and exploration
- Conduct quarterly parent-teacher meetings (via Zoom)
- Maintain light documentation (e.g. biweekly learning updates, weekly journaling)
- ECDA-recognised L2 teaching certification (Chinese Language Track)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching in a preschool classroom setting (group-based)
- Able to independently lead Mandarin lessons at N2 level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confident engaging Mandarin-speaking parents
- Familiar with Reggio, Montessori, or other inquiry-based pedagogies
- Willing to work full days: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Fixed working hours (no rotating shifts)
