[ref. a8044517] Accountant / Senior Accountant / AM / FM, Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting - Toa Payoh
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Group Financial Consolidation
Prepare and finalise group consolidated financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS 3, IFRS 10, IFRS 12) and internal policies. Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of all subsidiaries, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.Collaborate closely with subsidiary finance teams to gather and validate financial data.
2 Intercompany Reconciliation
Manage and perform timely reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions across group entities. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and consistency in consolidated financial reporting.
3 Group Management Reporting
Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly and weekly group management reports, including consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and detailed variance analysis. Provide financial insights and trends to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
4 Cash Flow Management and Forecasting
Oversee group-level cash flow management, including preparation of monthly cash flow projections and monitoring of actual liquidity positions. Coordinate with subsidiaries to ensure adequate cash planning and optimal fund allocation across entities.
5 Budgeting and Forecasting
Support the preparation and consolidation of group-wide annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Work collaboratively with finance teams across the group to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial planning.
6 Audit and Compliance Support
Prepare year-end consolidated financial statements (annual report) for statutory audit. Coordinate audit processes with external and internal auditors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to audit requirements for the Group level audit.
7 Ad Hoc Reporting
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management
8 ERP & Accounting System
Participate and provide support for the design, implementation and enhancement of Group’s accounting system
REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in consolidated financial statements and group financial reporting, ideally within the wholesale, trading, or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification is required.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and strong expertise in group consolidation processes and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) is essential to effectively liaise with China & Taiwan-based subsidiaries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in financial reporting tools and ERP systems, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis functions).
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
