Medical Planner

We are seeking a Medical Planner to support the planning and functional design of healthcare facilities. This role focuses on translating clinical and operational requirements into efficient and coordinated design solutions.

You will work closely with architects, engineers, medical equipment planners, and healthcare stakeholders across project stages.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate Schedule of Accommodation (SOA)
• Plan departmental layouts, adjacencies, and zoning
• Translate clinical workflows into spatial planning solutions
• Define patient, staff, and service flows

• Participate in user group discussions with clinicians and operators
• Translate operational requirements into design inputs
• Ensure alignment with:
• Infection control principles
• Patient safety requirements
• Operational efficiency

• Prepare and coordinate Room Data Sheets (RDS)
• Align layouts with medical equipment requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, engineering and equipment teams

• Integrate planning requirements into architectural and engineering design
• Participate in BIM coordination workflows

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in Architecture, Healthcare Planning, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or equivalent
2. Minimum 5 years of healthcare planning experience
3. Proven experience in hospital or large-scale clinical facility projects
4. Hands-on experience in managing SOA development, RDS preparation and multidisciplinary coordination
5. Strong understanding of clinical workflows, infection control, departmental planning and healthcare planning principles
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
7. Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
8. Familiarity with BIM workflows at LOD 100-200; experience with LOD 300 coordination is advantageous
9. Willingness to travel for both local and international project assignments
