Dept: Research & DevelopmentRole: Senior R&D Engineer
This role requires a highly self-motivated individual that is well organized and strong in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering domain expertise. Experience in the design and project management in Building Automation (including HVAC) or Petrochemical plant. You will have a very good career opportunity to work with our Project Engineering team to troubleshoot and improve our design and installation. You will also work closely with our CTO and third-party products experts and regulatory agency to cover the followings:
Support for Ongoing Project deployment (Product and Solutions Improvement)
This area involves immediate term Technical Advisory to Project Team’s Implementation and, where needed customization and solution integration to ensure a robust and customised execution of the Project deliverables.- Pre-sales site survey to validate BOM in Design Proposal
- Technical verification via FAT certificates etc
- Pre-handover Validation via System Acceptance Test and Commissioning
Design improvements to Products and System
This area involves short-term review, redesign and redevelopment of our entire Heat Removal Core Product and Solution. It will cover components of:
- Heat Removal Modules with all the related
- Thermodynamics system of various heat exchangers and
- Interface with electrical remote central control unit and associated valves, piping, sensors, refrigerants and Leak and Alarm detection systems.
Design of Next generation of Thermal Cooling Engineering
This is related to the new and higher capacity thermal cooling for the entire eco-system of the Data Centre. It involves integrating our patented cooling solutions with third party products and systems to meet the increasing demand of energy saving.
It will cover the review, design and development of a system that involves:
- Chilled water system with elevated temperature
- Different types of chilled water system
- CFD diagnosis to all relevant space to guide design and testing.
- Developing of sensors and centralized monitoring systems
- Strong B.Sc. Degree or master’s in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience in Building Automation HVAC or Chemical Plant
- Experience in Engineering design and consultant firm will be an added advantage.
- Professional Engineer certificate preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
