Our client is a leading provider in the marine and logistics sector, offering end-to-end supply chain solutions including shipping, port services, freight forwarding, and integrated logistics. Right now, they are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join them.

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics and supply chain operations, particularly in marine transport and port-related activities. This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of international shipping regulations, and the ability to streamline processes for maximum efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:Manage daily operations related to marine cargo, port clearances, warehousing, and inland transportation.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules, track vessel movements, and ensure timely cargo delivery and turnaround.
  • Supervise third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and local transporters.
  • Optimize end-to-end supply chain operations to reduce cost and improve delivery performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels, shipping documentation, and customs clearance processes.
  • Implement supply chain strategies in alignment with client requirements and company objectives.Lead and develop the logistics team, ensuring strong collaboration and productivity.
  • Liaise with suppliers, shipping lines, port authorities, and customs officials to ensure smooth operations.
  • Negotiate logistics contracts and manage performance metrics of vendors and partners.Ensure adherence to maritime regulations, international trade laws, and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) policies.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and permits.
  • Handle risk management, cargo insurance, and dispute resolution as needed.
  • Analyze logistics KPIs and provide regular reports to management.
  • Drive cost-efficiency, sustainability, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support business development through logistics insights and operational input on new projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within marine/shipping/logistics industries.
  • In-depth understanding of international shipping, incoterms, port operations, and freight forwarding.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Familiar with logistics software systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, WMS, TMS).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
