Assistant Technical Superintendent

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering and have at least 1-2 years’ experience working in the marine industry, preferably with shipowner or ship management companies.
• Able to work during odd hours, weekends & public holidays if required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for obtaining quotations for services & spares from company's registered vendors;
• Coordinate with vendors and arranging service engineers to attend to vessel for servicing when required;
• Attend & monitor service progress onboard & ensure timely completion to minimize downtime;
• Liaise with vessel and vendor to order correct parts & ensure timely delivery of spares and other necessary items for operation;
• Identify, arrange and follow up on off land items from vessel for repair / service ashore;
• To assist Technical Superintendent on issuance of Purchase Orders, consolidating delivery orders / service reports & submission of invoices to Accounts department;
• Support Technical Superintendent on dry docking and related activities;
• Update & maintain inventory list for vessel spare parts, plans and drawings;
• Update, maintain & monitor records of month end papers, lube oil analysis reports, statutory certificates & other certificate.
• Ensure all activities are carried out and comply according to company’s Safety Management System (SMS);
