About the Role
As an Assistant Manager in Patient Safety & Quality, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive incident reviews, performing standards compliance audits and implementing patient safety initiatives to enhance healthcare quality and maintain regulatory requirements.
Some of the Key Responsibilities include:
- Support patient safety programmes, initiatives and training
- Engage effectively with stakeholders for incident management
- Provide administrative support for Leadership Patient Safety Walkaround and other meetings
- Support the organisation of Quality Week and other events
- Document and track resource utilisation/project expenses for assigned projects/activities
- Organise and support standards-based audits
- Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc reports with audit data and findings
- Maintain project files and documentation, including updating electronic systems
- Monitor, review and analyse incidents reported to identify areas of concerns
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop and monitor action plans
- Identify potential clinical incidents for safety improvement projects/initiatives
- Proactively promote safety enhancement initiatives
- Participate in safety training programmes, sharing best practices with the team and relevant stakeholders
- Monitor knowledge management activities
- Contribute to knowledge repository monthly
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing or Allied Health disciplines
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in patient safety and/or quality in healthcare settings
- Basic knowledge of RCA and HFACS
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS and other M365 tools
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude to learn
- Organised and systematic approach to work
