Mechanical Engineer | Boon Lay | 5 days | Up to $4500 #2209
Location: Boon Lay
Working Hours: Mon – Fri (7:30am-5:15pm)
Salary: Up to $4500
Job Descriptions:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for ammunition products in accordance with technical specifications and safety standard
- Prepare detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Support design reviews, engineering changes, and product improvement initiatives
- Perform engineering analysis to validate design integrity, strength, and performance
- Conduct and support testing activities, including functional, performance, and environmental tests
- Analyse test data, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions or design improvements
- Apply Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques to assess stress, deformation, and structural performance (advantage)
- Support project planning, scheduling, and tracking of engineering deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing stakeholders to ensure timely project execution
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project updates for stakeholders
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, test reports, and change records
- Ensure designs comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical design and product development is preferred
- Exposure to ammunition, defence, or precision manufacturing products is an advantage
- Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and mechanical design
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools is an advantage
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
