Senior Project Manager – Financial Technology Projects (Loans / Trading / Mobile Banking) - Geylang - ref. l9986903
We are looking for a highly communicative and strategic Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of major financial technology projects, including loan systems, global trading platforms, and mobile banking initiatives. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in managing cross-functional teams but excels at engaging and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the customer organization — from business users to C-level executives.
This is a long-term leadership track role, with a career path that leads from project management into financial business unit leadership. Candidates with business analysis (BA) background or knowledge will be preferred to better bridge technical and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary communication bridge between external customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-border delivery teams
- Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of customer organizations, including senior management, department heads, and operational teams
- Manage the full project lifecycle for financial initiatives across loan processing, trading systems, digital channels, and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with remote full function large scale of development team (e.g., China, Malaysia, India or regional centers)
- Manage and coach an onsite team of BAs, SAs, TLs, QA testers, and coordinate with offshore development centers
- Ensure smooth business-IT alignment through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and post-go-live support
- Drive project governance including status reporting, risk mitigation, change management, and escalation handling
Requirements:
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in project management within banking or financial services
- Proven track record managing multiple project domains, such as:
o Retail or corporate loan systems
o Global trading platforms
o Mobile or digital banking- Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence diverse customer stakeholders, including both business and technical users
Skills & Tools:
- Familiar with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models)
- Strong in stakeholder engagement, issue/risk tracking, project documentation
- Proficient in tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Excel, and presentation tools
- Business analysis knowledge (requirement gathering, business process mapping) is a strong advantage
Languages:
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin (verbal and written) – essential for working with regional teams and China-based stakeholders
Certifications (preferred):
- PRINCE2 or PMP, Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe) certification
