Private Equity Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Analyst to join our Technology sector team. You will be part of the investment team that drives deal sourcing, evaluation and execution, and portfolio management for both funds and direct investments.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Modelling: Develop comprehensive financial models to assess the financial performance and valuation of potential investment opportunities and existing investments.
• Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Conduct in-depth sectoral research and analysis of target companies, industries, and market trends.
• Investment Memos: Prepare detailed internal investment memos, including financial projections, risk assessment, and investment recommendations.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of funds and portfolio companies, provide strategic guidance, and assist with fundraising and exit strategies.
• Industry Research: Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends in the technology sector.
• Data Analysis: Utilise data analytics tools to identify investment opportunities and assess market dynamics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, preferably with formal or informal training in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools.
• A passion for technology and a keen interest in the private equity industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in investment banking or private equity is a plus.
