The Institutional Sales team trades Fixed Income, Rates, Money Market, Repo and FX products with the Banks Institutional client base. Clients include Asset Managers, Central Banks, Hedge funds, Insurance Companies, Commercial Banks and other Financial Institutions.

The Global Markets business has over 300 staff globally, with Sydney, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Singapore & New York as key hubs. The Global Markets business focuses on delivering key products to the Banks clients where we have a strategic advantage.

Do work that matters:

As Director Fixed Income Sales, You will manage your own portfolio of Institutional clients based mainly in Hong Kong, China and North East Asia. You will work closely with DCM, Syndicate and trading to ensure investors are well covered for both primary and secondary.

You will also work closely with other teams within IB&M such as Client Solutions, ICM, Treasury, Line one, Line Two and Risk. You will report directly to Executive Director Head of Fixed Income Sales, based in Singapore. In addition to the functional reporting line set out above, you will have an informational reporting line to the Manager with responsibility for Overall Management of CBA HK (i.e. the Chief Executive).

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Minimum 6 years working in a Global Markets Sales team, dealing in Fixed Income products
  • Hold the relevant Financial Markets accreditations
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge about client behaviour and motivations
  • Exceptional experience in collaborating with the trading desks
  • Knowledge of Global markets product set for sophisticated institutional client base.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of dealing with a range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exposure to booking models or operational experience.
  • High energy, able to operate at pace and bring a growth mindset
  • Risk Mindset – proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
  • A team player with an ability to deliver to multiple stakeholders.
