Job Summary: A client-side role supporting the early phases of core banking or wealth management system implementations across front, middle, and back-office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the initial phase of package system implementation projects at financial institutions.
- Understand existing business processes, data structures, and manual operations through on-site interviews and hands-on observation.
- Act as a bridge between business and IT teams to drive practical and realistic implementation approaches.
- Support implementation of core banking or wealth management packages (Avaloq or Olympic) from the client’s perspective.
- Organize and analyze fit/gap between business requirements and package functionalities.
- Facilitate coordination and communication among business units, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Identify issues, support consensus building, and assist decision-making across front, middle, and back office.
- Contribute to the development and review of the implementation roadmap, particularly for the initial phase.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science or related fields, preferably with ITIL certification and a solid understanding of financial IT operations.
- Experience in business operations within financial institutions, particularly in core or package-based system implementations.
- Practical hands-on experience with Avaloq or Olympic, including implementation, requirements definition, functional enhancement, or operational support.
- Broad understanding of front, middle, and back-office business processes.
- Experience in client-side roles such as Project Manager, PMO, Business Analyst, or similar.
- Ability to work effectively in multinational and multicultural environments.
- Experience in private banking, wealth management, or securities systems is an added advantage.
- Experience working in overseas or regional office environments with limited head office support is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage stakeholders and progress work without heavy reliance on vendors is an added advantage.
- Strong capability to structure, analyze, and move initiatives forward in environments with high uncertainty.
