Lorry driver - Toa Payoh

We are looking for a Lorry Driver with several years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Operation:Safely operating a lorry or truck to transport goods over various distances.
• Route Planning:Planning efficient delivery routes, potentially in coordination with dispatchers, to ensure timely delivery.
• Loading and Unloading:Assisting with or carrying out the loading and unloading of goods, potentially using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Vehicle Maintenance:Conducting routine checks and maintenance, such as refueling and cleaning, and reporting any issues.
• Compliance:Adhering to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Documentation:Maintaining records of deliveries, driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Communication:Communicating with dispatchers, customers, and other staff members to coordinate deliveries and report any issues.
• Customer Service:Interacting with customers and ensuring professional and courteous service.
• Safety:Ensuring the safety of the vehicle, cargo, and themselves, including securing loads and using appropriate protective gear.
• Problem Solving:Handling unexpected situations like traffic delays or mechanical issues calmly and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Driving License: Valid license for the relevant vehicle category (e.g., Class 3)
• Driving Experience: Several years of experience driving heavy goods vehicles.
• Driving Skills: Excellent driving skills, including the ability to operate the vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of road safety regulations and procedures.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve unexpected issues during deliveries.
• Time Management: Ability to plan routes and manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Woring Hours : 8am to 6pm (Mon - Sat). Off on Sunday and public holiday.
