Therapy Assistant (Acupuncture Services)

About the role

To assist and support acupuncturists in the safe handling and care of patients; and support the smooth and coordinated delivery of treatments, enhancing overall clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction. You will also be exposed to opportunities regarding Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) within a hospital setting.

• Assess and record patient parameters
• Prepare and position patients for treatment
• Set up treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean and maintained
• Assist acupuncturists during treatment process
• Maintain needle inventory throughout the treatment process
• Manage inventory of department's treatment supplies
• Provide general administrative support as required

• Experience working as a therapy assistant or in a similar supporting role within a healthcare setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with patients
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
