As we continue to scale, we're looking for a technically capable and customer focused Sales Engineer to help us drive solution awareness and support our growing client base.

What You’ll Do

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying customer needs, preparing tailored solutions, and supporting the external sales team in driving revenue. You are a TRUE HUNTER and you are not shy to generate new leads and network.

You’ll support both our core distribution activities and our expanding solution sales approach, helping customers make informed technical choices while ensuring smooth sales execution.

Lead Generation & Demand Creation
  • Research and target new customers and in identifying key decision-makers
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email campaigns, and social outreach, networking, word of mouth or which ever way helps you generate the leads you need to meet your KPI and maintain a healthy funnel.
  • Qualify leads, assess potential needs, and log details into CRM, achieving quality and volume lead metrics with discipline and attention to detail.
Product & Sales Support (Distributor Role)
  • Respond to inbound enquiries, recommend suitable products, and prepare quotations
  • Track and follow up on RFQs, quotations, and order status with customers
  • Maintain updated product knowledge on our distributed portfolio
  • Support external sales and customers with inventory availability, lead times, and specifications
Solution Selling (Strategic Growth Role)
  • Collaborate with pre-sales technical engineers and suppliers to devise solution packages (cabling, connectivity, infrastructure)
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities—bundles, accessories, or maintenance services
  • Deliver technical demos, presentations, and proposals tailored to customer contexts
  • Assist in technical qualification of leads and support proposal preparation for larger solution projects
Cross-Team Coordination
  • Align with marketing on campaign efforts and content used for demand generation
  • Support the cross-functional teams during tenders, customer workshops, or regional engagements
  • Liaise with principals and suppliers for technical clarifications and commercial support
Account Management
  • Update CRM with contact history, lead status, proposal details, and customer responses
  • Drive follow-ups, respond to RFQs/RFPs, and work proactively to push deals forward
  • Monitor lead-to-opportunity metrics, pipeline value, and sales outcomes
What You’ll Need
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in B2B sales or pre-sales technical role. Experience in the manufacturing, industrial, or networking sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to generate and qualify leads via phone, email, and online research.
  • Cold-calling and lead sourcing experience and skillsets
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, IT, or equivalent technical background
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage technical and commercial discussions
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, able to manage multiple enquiries and timelines
Bonus If You Have
  • Familiarity with industrial brands like Belden, Neutrik
  • Exposure to structured cabling, wireless systems, or industrial connectivity solutions
  • Excellent business English, conversational Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu
