Assembly Technician (2 years contract)

Job Description:

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to ensure accurate assembly and repair processes
• Perform assembly, repair, and testing of electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic equipment
• Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for assemblies, subassemblies, and components to ensure optimal performance
• Operate test fixtures, measurement instruments, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to carry out functional and quality testing
• Inspect and audit incoming parts and materials to verify completeness, accuracy, and quality standards
• Complete job-related documentation, including data entry, work progress updates, and labor tracking records
• Perform basic programming, software installation, and minor system configuration when required
• Work independently while providing guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members

Requirements:

• Employment Type: Contract position (up to 24 months)
• Minimum Qualification: NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical field
• Preferred Certifications: ASSEET, BSEET, or equivalent technical certifications
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in the semiconductor, display, or related high-tech manufacturing industry
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential
• Hands-on role involving equipment assembly, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a cleanroom environment
• Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling technical tools and equipment
• Physically demanding position requiring prolonged standing, lifting, bending, and working in confined or tight spaces
