Operations Manager, Tankers - Geylang
At NORDEN, we are committed to facilitating global trade and equipping our operators to contribute meaningfully each day.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Tankers team in Singapore. You will play a key role in keeping global trade moving while supporting your colleagues in a friendly, collaborative and people-focused environment.
What is in it for you
In the role of Operations Manager, you will significantly contribute to the efficient and safe movement of global trade on a daily basis.
Do you have the ability to blend business insight with effective communication and a focus on customer needs? To thrive in a rapidly changing and international environment is a key aspect of this position.
You will manage tanker operations, coordinating with internal teams, vessels, agents, charterers and owners to ensure smooth voyages, optimise performance and control costs.
We keep it friendly, collaborative and people-focused — a place where your skills are valued and your contributions truly matter.
The task that awaits you
Your work will help ensure the smooth operation of NORDEN’s Tanker Pool — from managing vessels to coordinating with key stakeholders. Focusing on how each detail plays a role in delivering efficient, reliable and high-quality service while aiming to lead the market.
What you will be doing:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of several tanker vessels in the fleet.
- Manage your own defined area of responsibility with focus and accountability.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, vessels, agents, charterers and owners to ensure smooth voyages.
- Contribute to a skilled and capable team, working together to surpass expectations and deliver premium service.
What you bring
Your ability to work collaboratively, along with your attention to detail, allows you to manage daily operations and unexpected challenges effectively.
Clear communication comes naturally to you — whether coordinating with colleagues, vessels or external partners.
Further, we are looking for a colleague who:
- Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in vessel operations ashore.
- Demonstrates composure in the face of pressure, is adept at overseeing multiple assignments and consistently focuses on accuracy.
- Demonstrates proficient IT skills along with a comprehensive understanding of operational systems and processes; familiarity with IMOS enhances capabilities and attention to detail in data entry is essential.
- Can efficiently respond to changes in a tough industry, modifying approaches and strategies while continuously focusing on advancement.
