Project Engineer - Oil & Gas

Job Summary:
Applies specialized knowledge of offshore Oil & Gas / Marine engineering principles and practices across various areas. Manages, develops, and implements project(s) of varying complexity and size in assigned functional area. Partners with business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applies technical expertise on complex components or projects with minimal supervision.
- Leads small projects or portions of large projects.
- Applies specialized knowledge of offshore Oil & Gas / Marine engineering principles and practices across various areas.
- Work together with Application Engineers and sales teams to develop deviation list, Proposal to owner (PTO) and technical clarification sheet from Marine and offshore oil & Gas tender document.
- Work together with Application Engineers and sales teams and develop project schedule, progress reports, and project specific engineering documents and submit to customer and follow up with customer to get approval.
- Develop package bill of material to meet customer specification and marine & offshore classification society requirements.
- Develop and deliver project specific engineering documents to customer.
- Provide applicable marine and offshore classification society requirements to internal Design team and external supplier to design customized package
- Managing the complex Oil & Gas / Marine project from sales kick-off to commissioning and handover to customer.
- Lead key customer & complex Marine and Oil & Gas projects.
- Liaising with vendors on delivery schedules, customer inspection at supplier site and Cummins facility.
- Coordinate with internal service team to complete Factory acceptance test and commissioning at vessel / shipyard
- Coordinate with customer and class surveyors to arrange and complete Customer inspection, Factory acceptance test and commissioning at vessel / shipyard
- Work together with supply chain to prepare product delivery document and make arrangement with customer for product delivery.
- Strong Knowledge in Marine and Offshore Oil & Gas classification societies and Society regulations, e.g. DNV, ABS, BV and LR.
- Knowledge in shipyard commissioning and sea trial procedure and requirements
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Basic Auto CAD Experience
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of Marine and Oil & Gas project handling experience.
