Job Summary

The Logistics Executive holds the responsibility to drive and manage the logistics program across Asia Pacific plants. This role requires working closely with site logistics team and freight forwarders in each region and ensuring door-to-door shipments meeting operation's needs.The role will be the point of escalation for resolution and strive for improvement in cost and service performance and will support third party logistics (3PL) & Trade Compliance program on import and export subject matters.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Works closely with AP site logistics team to ensure shipment meets operation needs & supervise freight forwarders' delivery performance.
- Acts as point of escalation to resolve freight issues in AP. Ensure freight forwarder's corrective and preventive action is effective.
- Manages & conducts regular performance review with freight forwarders at site/ AP level.
- Monitors AP sites' freight cost through regular freight bill audits and lead site team on improvement projects (mode shift, service level improvement, consolidation, leakages etc.).
- Manages Logistics cost to meet budgets & cost savings plan.
- Ability to engage internal & external collaborators to derive solutions for any project/ assignment tasked.
- Supports Corporate mode team in AP by gathering business unit requirements.in terms of Spend, Volume, transit time, service failure etc.) for E-sourcing events.
- Leads change management with new forwarders for the different modes (Air Cargo freight, Ocean freight, Parcel & Ground services).
- Coordinates with Trade Compliance / Shipping team / 3PL on import and export procedures in accordance to regulatory requirements. Provide support in Trade Compliance program.
- Supports MEC shipments’ documentation requirements to ensure compliance & flow
- Partakes in internal factory key initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in the Logistics environment.
- Working knowledge of MRP (Oracle) and MS office software, ERP System, internet and customer supplied software.
- Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact.
- Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive team member relations.
- Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or any related field
- Knowledge of Lean Techniques, ISO 9002 Quality System and Inventory Management will be an added advantage.
