Why This Role Matters:

As our Public Relations Executive, you will play a critical role in shaping and strengthening Vertical Institute’s brand reputation. You’ll drive strategic communications, build strong media relationships, and execute impactful Public Relations initiatives that position us as a leading voice in the education technology sector.

What You’ll Do:
  • Partner closely with our Public Relations agency to execute strategies that drive measurable impact in brand visibility, media share of voice, and public sentiment.
  • Leverage and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure high-impact coverage.
  • Oversee end-to-end Public Relations campaigns, from ideation to execution and measurement, aligned with company goals.
  • Develop clear briefs and review communication assets including press releases, media pitches, blog posts, social media content, and internal communications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and brand standards are met.
  • Monitor media coverage and competitor activity, and prepare regular Public Relations performance and sentiment reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging across initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 2–3 years of experience in public relations or communications.
  • Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience managing direct journalist relationships in Singapore.
  • Bonus: Demonstrated success securing tier-1 media coverage (e.g. The Straits Times, CNA, Business Times) without agency mediation.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce publication-ready copy in English and at least one other Asian language.
  • Strong understanding of the Singapore media landscape.
  • Experience or interest in education technology or related industries is an advantage.
