Job Description

My clients are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join their team in delivering high-profile civil engineering projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Report to the Project Manager or Team Leader and take ownership of assigned project tasks.
• Study and interpret technical drawings, ISO standards, contractual requirements, and sub-contract agreements.
• Work with consultants to resolve design or technical issues prior to and during construction.
• Prepare short- and medium-term work programmes, and ensure project execution in line with approved schedules.
• Supervise on-site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements.
• Maintain excellent site housekeeping and enforce safety practices at all times.
• Oversee quality management processes, including proper documentation, analysis of results, and implementation of continuous improvement action plans.
• Ensure accurate project documentation in line with client, consultant, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor cost control measures — minimize material wastage, prevent damage to temporary/permanent works, and avoid rework that can impact project timeline and budget.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project progress.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments from the Project Manager necessary for project execution.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (must be recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil & structural works, preferably involving infrastructure or LTA projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, contractual requirements, and project specifications.
• Proven experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders in large-scale projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
