Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented QA/QC Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining food safety systems, conducting QC checks, training production staff, and assisting in audit preparation. This role is ideal for candidates who are organized, proactive, and committed to upholding food safety and quality standards.There is a requirement for this role to perform testing on pork related products. You are required to check on the company profile.
Key Responsibilities- Perform roles under ISO22000 framework. Maintain and update food safety certification systems and records (ISO22000, MUIS Halal, BizSafe, SFA SAFE Framework).
- Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Train and guide production team members on food safety procedures and hygiene standards.
- Liaise with maintenance vendors to ensure facility and equipment upkeep.
- Oversee production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
- Conduct QA/QC checks on raw materials and finished goods (including cooking and tasting).
- Handle online sales processes, including order management and product listings.
- Coordinate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and documentation.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements

Minimum: ITE Certificate in Food Science, Food Technology, or related fields.Preferred (in no particular order):
- Polytechnic Diploma (SP / NYP / TP) in: Food Science & Technology / Applied Food Science
- Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (PIS): Diploma in Food Technology
- Politeknik Merlimau Melaka (PMM) :Diploma in Food Technology
- Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah (PSIS) – Sabak Bernam, Selangor : Diploma in Food Technology
- Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) : Bachelor of Food Science and Technology / Bachelor of Science (Food Studies)
- Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) : Bachelor of Science (Food Science with Business Management) / Bachelor of Science (Food Science)
- 1 year of experience in QA/QC within the food industry, including internships.
- Experience supporting audits (SFA, ISO22000, Halal) and conducting daily QC checks.
- Solid understanding of ISO22000, HACCP, and SFA Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Familiarity with traceability and recall procedures.
- Ability to train and guide production staff on food safety and GMP.
- Strong attention to detail with effective communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to work overtime during audits or busy production periods and stand for extended durations.
- Be part of an established local SME with over 30 years of heritage.
- Exposure to end-to-end QA/QC processes in food manufacturing.
