What You'll Do
- Collaborate with internal/external stake-holders to define data center operations and develop Change Management procedures and tools, SOP and EOP of regional collocation DC facilities.
- You will actively monitor execution of all systems and verify the status and availability of hardware, server security, file system space, system cluster, databases for operations etc).
- You will activate, maintain and update EOD batch jobs and records and ensure completion of previous EOD jobs.
- You will execute daily backup operations for onsite on offsite storage as well as ad-hoc data backup and restore, re-boot procedure for all servers, monitor and record environmental status of Computer Room.
- You will control and monitor the execution of applications, system software and hardware on system console to maintain timely delivery of system services.
- You will provide Tier 1 support to users and escalate when necessary; prepare incident report and re-route to appropriate support staff.
- You will assure the processing of the tape management utility programs and ensure all backup tapes at onsite and offsite storage are accounted for and support system failover and disaster recovery.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in an Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- 5+ years experience of global large data center facility operations (10+MW) in a team leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of Data Center mechanical, electrical, fire system and controls systems
- Functional knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures, IT service delivery principles and best practices
- Experience leading a small to medium-sized team.
- Highly driven, self-managed individual, greatly developed problem analysis and critical thinking experience
- Knowledge of data center construction procedure
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
