Assistant Manager / Manager (Learning & Outreach) - 1 Year Contract
Reporting to the Assistant Director (Learning & Outreach), the Assistant Manager/ Manager (Learning & Outreach) will support institutional and public education outreach partnerships. The Assistant Manager/ Manager will oversee partnership cycles, co-ordinate and implement insight studies, ensuring quality in learning, programme delivery and relationship management to increase public familiarity with the Gallery's identity and mission, with the goal of bringing non-traditional museum going audiences into the Gallery and retain interest for repeat visitors.
This role requires strong interest in art education and administrative skillsets in collaboration, overseeing administrative details and project management. The manager will also be involved in working with internal and external stakeholders to support meaningful art experiences and encounters for students and public audiences of different demographics in and beyond the Gallery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to the below):
- Execute data collection and analyses approaches for institutional and learning research projects including, but not limited to, in relation to the Gallery's Learning and Outreach frameworks and programmes.
- Coordinate projects such as insight studies and ensure methodological and stakeholder alignment while ensuring timely progression.
- Facilitate dace-to-face interviews and/or focus groups and stakeholder discussions to gather data and insights, align stakeholders around research objectives.
- Manage project-related administrative and procurement work.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders including artists, educators, members of the public, government agencies, and corporates to organize activities and/or programmes and student showcases.
- Implement the Gallery's learning and outreach programmes to take art experiences within and beyond the physical museum walls and into schools, with a vision to create awareness, enhance accessibility and develop meaningful connections between audiences who may be new to art and the Gallery, its exhibitions and collection.
- Handle ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
- Responsible for leading educational approaches and planning in alignment with organizational mission and learning vision.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in education, social sciences, arts-related portfolio.
- Must possess cultural sensitivity and understanding for diverse communities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement educational and outreach programmes that align with the mission and goals of the museum.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and deliver quality outcomes within tight timelines and budget.
- Demonstrated skills in managing a range of administrative processes including issuing and managing schedules, contracts, financials, and logistics.
- Must possess cultural sensitivity and understanding for diverse stakeholders, including needs among the young audience.
- A proactive team player who is resourceful, people-oriented, meticulous, hands-on and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess positive attitude and excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good command of written and spoken English is essential.
