Technical Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and technically competent Application Consultant/ Project Manager. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the operability of applications and its environments in the client environment. This includes ensuring application availability, managing service levels, overseeing security and risk, ensuring audit compliance, managing changes, and conducting various application operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage application availability to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Manage application vendor SLAs to ensure timely delivery, compliance, and performance standards.
Work with the Technical Support team to ensure seamless application maintenance.
Work on setting up standard operational procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Work on incident reporting to ensure timely identification, documentation, and resolution of issues.
Should have knowledge of batch scripting to perform necessary modifications to existing scripts.
Oversee service level management to meet contractual and organizational standards.
Implement and monitor security and risk management measures.
Provide audit compliance support by ensuring all systems and processes meet regulatory standards.
Execute change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
Evaluate change request efforts technically to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Assist users with queries related to application issues, ensuring timely support and resolution.
Conduct requirement sessions as necessary to gather and clarify business and technical needs.
Assist with audit compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Maintain the Application’s Risk and Security Registers.
Collaborate with the Client Project Management Team to support and engage third-party vendors in conducting periodic System Security Tests, including Vulnerability Assessment (VA), Penetration Testing (PT), and Security Configuration Review (SCR).
Coordinate with stakeholders—such as application specialists, client-engaged vendors, infrastructure administrators, and application/system owners—to address and remediate security vulnerabilities identified in VAPT and SCR.
Application Operational Activities:
Oversee scheduled job management.
Identify and resolve application-related issues.
Provide managed application services reporting.
Maintain application system documentation.
Security Threat Management:
Provide timely information, guidance, and risk mitigation strategies for newly discovered security vulnerabilities in managed applications and components.
Collaborate with internal teams, appointed vendors, and security researchers to address vulnerabilities identified through public disclosures, ethical reporting, or internal findings.
Operational and Security Risk Control Activities:
Conduct software patch assessments.
Perform security assessments to prevent cyber incidents.
Analyse impacts during application change management processes.
Consolidate and report on application or data-related security incidents.
Verify application operability after software installations or configuration changes.
Perform application verification monthly after the Technical team completes patching.
Monitor and tune application performance with regular reporting.
Respond to security-related information or report requests in a timely manner, adhering to schedules provided by the Authority, MHA, or GovTech.
Technical Competency Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate management or operational experience in most, if not all, of the following technical domains:
- Data Warehousing Operation Management: Oversee and manage data warehouse environments to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Tableau Server Administration: Manage Tableau servers, including user access and server health monitoring.
- SharePoint Management: Administer SharePoint applications and environments with assigned responsibilities.
- Web Services (IIS) Management: Maintain and troubleshoot Internet Information Services (IIS) to ensure reliable web service operations.
- Content Management System (CMS) Knowledge: Possess operational knowledge of website content management systems (hands-on management not required).
- Active Directory Knowledge: Knowledge on managing user accounts, permissions, and security protocols within Active Directory environments.
- SSL/HTTPS Website Certificate Management: Handle the installation and renewal of web certificates.
- Possess basic knowledge of AWS.
