We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering robust software solutions that delight users and support our digital transformation initiatives.
Working closely with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps, you will contribute across the entire development lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Business Analysts to elaborate user stories and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support Quality Assurance with test automation, bug fixing, and ensuring overall product quality.
- Assist DevOps in automating build and release pipelines for efficient CI/CD processes.
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable and maintainable software applications using best-in-class engineering practices.
- Continuously improve code quality through XP practices like pair programming, code reviews, and unit testing.
- Uphold the values of the Software Craftsmanship Manifesto to deliver high-quality, well-crafted software.
- Prepare architectural designs and other relevant technical documentation.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Frontend Development:
- React.js, Next.js, TypeScript
Backend Development:
- Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot
Cloud & DevOps:
- AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Experience with Git and CI tools (e.g., Bamboo, TeamCity)
Additional Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
- Good understanding of Design Patterns
- Experience working in Mac/Linux environments
- Comfortable working across both Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms
Singapore Government Tech Stack (advantageous):
- Experience with Singpass, GoBusiness Portal, SHIP/HATS, Optical CMS, etc.
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP)
- Exposure to UX/UI development and mobile application development is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and listen actively
