Senior Associate Private Equity Fund Accountant (Client Service Teams)

The ideal candidate should have strong bookkeeping skills along with excellent communication abilities to interact with clients effectively.
You will receive study support on enrolled accountancy qualification (e.g. CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA Australia) together with the opportunity to work in a stable, supportive and open cultured environment.
Personal and Career Development:
- Provide training and support through our Asia - Personal Development Programme. Covers both technical and non-technical skills development.
- Offer exam support including paid exam leave, exam fee support and practical experience mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review full sets of financial statements for our clients in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements/data via our bespoke accounting system(s) to ensure proper classification of complex business transactions based on latest accounting standards or regulatory requirements.
- Support our clients with the year-end audit by preparing detailed schedules together with audited financial statements and ensuring timely resolution of findings/queries from the auditors.
- Calculate financial performance metrics, including IRRs, MOICs and analyze results with our clients and their stakeholders.
- Deliver clear and professional communications to our clients and their stakeholders with queries on financial reports, transaction information and regulatory/compliance related matters.
- Prepare and analyze industry specific calculation such as capital call, distribution and waterfall computation based on the relevant legal documents.
- Provide ongoing support to our clients on best practices and compliance requirements such as AML/KYC, FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
- Collect appropriate data and preparing government reports and tax returns.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, ensuring all documentation is accurately archived for compliance and reference purposes.
Requirements:
- Accountancy related degree preferred (ideally 2:1 degree class or above, GPA 3+).
- Typically, 3 years minimum prior accounting work experience.
- Candidate is expected to have completed a professional accountancy qualification from a recognised body (e.g. CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA Australia etc.).
- Excellent written and spoken Mandarin and English communication skills.
- A positive attitude, a sense of satisfaction from doing your best, and self-discipline are all essential.
- Experience in using accounting packages for bookkeeping and report production.
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience, including the ability to produce neatly presented work.
- Client service experience is a plus.
- Experience of investment/private equity or real estate accounting is helpful but not essential.
