ACS Academy, established in partnership with Methodist Welfare Services, is Singapore’s fifth special education (SPED) school dedicated to supporting students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and who have no intellectual impairment and can access the National Curriculum (NC), also known as the ASD-NC student profile.

As the first Methodist SPED school in Singapore, ACS Academy will provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment grounded in Christian values, upholding the traditions of the ACS family while delivering a holistic education that fosters academic excellence, character development, and essential life skills for future success, instilling in students a heart for service and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the community and beyond.

Job Description
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Singapore National Curriculum, adapted for students with ASD.
  • Co-teach in classrooms designed specifically for students with autism, working closely with a fellow teacher to share instructional and behavioural support responsibilities.
  • Implement structured teaching strategies, visual support, and consistent routines tailored to ASD learner profiles.
  • Design and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) in collaboration with families and professionals.
  • Track student progress through data-informed assessments and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Apply proactive behaviour support strategies and manage challenging behaviours within a safe, structured environment.
  • Help establish and refine classroom systems, schedules, and instructional approaches as part of a school start-up team.
  • Collaborate with other educators, allied professionals, and school leaders to continuously improve teaching and learning.
  • Build strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders to support students’ holistic development and transitions.

Job Requirements:

  • Recognized University Degree / Diploma / DISE / CISE*
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Passion and commitment in guiding children to excel
  • Boldness to meet challenges in a dynamic environment
  • Good team player quality with personal initiative
  • Strong work ethics and pleasant disposition
  • Relevant experience in teaching students with autism will be an advantage
  • Applicants without the necessary qualification but with relevant experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
