Mechanical Design Engineer (Test Socket / Backend Equipment)

• Design and develop test sockets, changekits, pogo pin assemblies, probes, jigs & fixtures, and machine components
• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD / SolidWorks
• Perform reverse engineering to improve and replicate existing designs
• Manage full project lifecycle: design → sourcing → fabrication → assembly → installation → troubleshooting
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver practical engineering solutions
• Collaborate with production, suppliers, and sales teams to ensure smooth execution
• Provide on-site technical support when required
• Support QC inspections and assembly processes
• Drive continuous improvement in design efficiency, cost, and manufacturability

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Automation or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor backend testing, especially:
• Test sockets
• Changekits
• Pogo pins
• Backend test handling equipment
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D modeling & assemblies)
• Experience in reverse engineering and practical design implementation
• Independent, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills with a customer-facing mindset
