The Psychologist provides psychological services within a team, applying a wide array of psychometric assessments and interventions for clients with routine psychological/ behavioural conditions. S/He conducts psychoeducational programmes and training for caregivers and other professionals.

S/He also participates in continuing education and research to achieve quality client care.

Principal Job Responsibilities
  • The Psychologist will provide holistic psychological services that are caregiver/client-focused to the clientele of the assigned AWWA program and/or organisation/s
  • Manage, coordinate, and conduct formal and informal psychological assessments
  • Attend and assist with case discussions, placement meetings, and case conference meetings as well as chair these meetings when necessary
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based, data-driven programmes or intervention plans in collaboration with teams
  • Empower client and caregiver on methods to enhance health and functioning through self-management strategies
  • Provide psychological inputs to other specialised departments and relevant professionals
  • Identify areas of improvement in models of client care and service based on evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate and provide consultation for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., families, professionals, & agencies including hospitals and preschools) in order to promote clients' development and/or functioning
  • Deliver psychoeducational programs and rehabilitation workshops for clients, caregivers, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Perform data collection and analysis to support research as and when applicable
  • Identify areas of improvement in client care and services for quality improvement projects
  • Adhere to professional standards in clinical, legal, ethical, health and safety practices
Other Responsibilities
  • To assist in ad-hoc projects/committees as and when required by the Head of Psychology
  • To perform any other duties as directed by the Program Head / Director

Job Specifications

Minimum education / qualifications
  • Master's in Psychology or equivalent from an accredited university/ Degree in Psychology to enter as an Associate Psychologist
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) as a full member
  • Psychologists who are full members of SPS and registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) are expected to work independently
Minimum years of relevant experience
  • 0-2 years of working experience
