Events Coordinator [Central Location | Government]

Job Description:

Are you passionate about creating meaningful community engagement and raising awareness on critical social issues? We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team, supporting the coordination and execution of various events aimed at raising awareness and engaging stakeholders in key community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation: Identify and build relationships with stakeholders across government, private sector, and community organisations to ensure broad and inclusive participation in programs. Support the team by managing administrative tasks including handling inquiries, coordinating logistics for events and workshops, and managing correspondence.
  • Domestic Violence Awareness Talks: Identify and engage relevant sectors and organisations to promote participation in Domestic Violence Awareness Talks. Evaluate the success and impact of these sessions to continuously improve their effectiveness.
  • Event Management and Coordination: Plan, organise, and manage various community engagement events such as town halls, consultations, and dialogues. This includes handling logistics, coordinating venues, managing participants, and ensuring smooth technical operations for both physical and virtual events.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mass Communications, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders across a variety of sectors, including government agencies, private sector, and community organisations.
  • Competence in using virtual meeting platforms, survey tools, and presentation software to facilitate both in-person and online events.
  • Ability to produce clear, professional written materials including proposals, meeting notes, and reports.

Job Details:

  • Contract Duration: 12-month contract
  • Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Salary: Up to $3,160 per month
  • Nearest MRT Station: Caldecott MRT
