Commercial Manager / Assistant Commercial Manager (Construction Industry)

Our client is seeking a Commercial Manager / Assistant Commercial Manager to join their team!

Other Information:

• Working Day: 5 days
• Working Hour: 830am-6pm
• Working Location: Jurong East
• Salary Range: $8,000-$11,000

• Lead the team: Provide strong leadership and oversee the management of the project commercial team.
• Achieve margins: Ensure project margins are met and maintain a positive cash profile.
• Report accurately: Provide timely, transparent, and accurate reporting.
• Strategic insight: Identify and recommend commercial strategies, opportunities, and manage variations and entitlements.
• Supply chain: Oversee procurement and manage the supply chain, including subcontractors, suppliers, and consultant services.
• Contract management: Manage contract and tender documentation.
• Final settlements: Process final account settlements.
• Risk management: Engage in risk management and control.
• Financial oversight: Ensure timely financial reporting, forecasts, and highlight key financial risks.
• Relationships: Maintain and foster good relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.

• Educational background: A degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Science is required.
• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
• Legal knowledge: Familiarity with contract/construction law, including tender requirements, contract conditions, methods of contracting, value contract works, and claims experience.
• Technical skills: Candidates with M&E experience will have an added advantage.
• Analytical skills: Strong business acumen with strong analytical skills.
• Multi-tasking: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
