Volunteer & Community Engagement Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager

The Volunteer & Community Engagement Executive / Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the organisation’s volunteer programmes and developing strong community partnerships to support outreach initiatives. The role will oversee volunteer recruitment, engagement, and coordination, while also working closely with corporates, schools, and community partners to strengthen support for programmes and activities.

Main responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and manage volunteers across various programmes and events
• Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and attendance
• Plan and execute volunteer training, briefing, and engagement sessions on safety, conduct, beneficiary interaction, service standards, and operational expectations
• Maintain volunteer database, attendance & profiles, and ensure accurate records and reporting
• Identify suitable volunteers for different roles, including packing support, drivers, operations support, event support and volunteer team leads
• Develop volunteer engagement initiatives to improve retention, appreciation and long term volunteer involvement.

• Develop and maintain relationships with corporates and community partners
• Support CSR initiatives and corporate volunteering programmes
• Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand community reach
• Coordinate collaboration efforts for events, donations, and outreach programmes
• Serve as key liaison between organisation and external stakeholders

• Support planning and execution of community outreach and engagement activities
• Work closely with internal teams to align volunteer support with programme needs
• Assist in fundraising and donor engagement activities where required
• Match volunteers to suitable programmes based on skills, interests, and organisational needs

• Support basic marketing and communications efforts by helping to gather ground stories, volunteer experiences, photos, short videos and beneficiary impact points.
• Assist in preparing simple social media captions, campaign updates, volunteer stories, donor appreciation notes and community outreach content.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline
• 2–5 years of experience in volunteer management, community engagement, CSR, or related field
• Possession of a Class 3 driving licence would be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to engage diverse stakeholders (volunteers, corporates, community groups)
• Strong organisational and coordination skills
• Passion for community work and social impact
• Must be able to work on weekends
• Experience guiding interns, volunteers, junior staff or project teams will be an advantage
• Appointment may be made at Executive, Senior Executive or Assistant Manager level, depending on the candidate’s experience, capability and suitability for the role.
