Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager (SME Loans) to join their team!
What you'll be doing?- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong connections with SME clients, understanding their unique financing needs and business objectives.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary point of contact for SME clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns with promptness and efficiency.
- Market Intelligence: Develop a deep understanding of clients' industries and market dynamics to offer tailored financial solutions.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new lending opportunities within the SME segment through proactive prospecting and lead generation.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough credit assessments and risk analyses to evaluate loan applicants' creditworthiness and financial stability.
- Loan Structuring: Negotiate and structure loan terms that align with lending policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of SME loan accounts, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with loan agreements.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address potential credit risks, implementing appropriate actions to safeguard investments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely loan documentation and processing.
- Financial Advisory: Provide valuable insights and recommendations to SME clients on business growth strategies and financial management.
- Application Support: Guide clients through the loan application process, assisting with documentation preparation and ensuring a smooth approval and disbursement experience.
- Industry Experience: At least 4 years of experience in commercial banking, SME lending, or relationship management, with a focus on business development and credit analysis.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in originating and managing SME loan portfolios, meeting lending targets, and effectively mitigating credit risks.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to evaluate business financial statements and assess credit risk factors.
- Credit Expertise: Familiarity with credit underwriting standards, loan structuring techniques, and risk mitigation strategies in the SME lending context.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively and structure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Networking Prowess: Strong networking skills to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the SME community, including business owners and industry associations.
