We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the organization's financial operations, ensuring financial stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required. Assist in all aspects of accounts payable and receivable. Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process by ensuring vendor payments are processed on time and in accordance with HEB's procurement and finance policies Review and ensure accurate intercompany transactions and accounts. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting activities as well as conduct monthly financial analysis. Prepare various monthly reports including reconciliation of balance sheet items and provide insights to management.
- Contract & Procurement Management: Assist in procurement and calling for tendering processes, management of vendors and purchase orders.
- Asset Management: Assist in managing the organization's fixed assets, including tracking, depreciation, and disposal.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. Manage audit functions, including internal and external audits. Oversee the management of donations.
- Administrative Support: Schedule and coordinate key meetings. Prepare and distribute meeting minutes. Provide administrative support to the Finance Head as needed.
- Participation in HEB Corporate and temple events: To carry out duties as assigned.
- Audit Support: Provide full support for internal and external audits. Assist with data gathering, document preparation, and follow-ups on audit queries.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least a diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in contract/procurement management, fixed asset management, and financial governance.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and Charity Standards (preferred).
- Knowledge of various financial, GST, and audit processes.
- Able to converse in Tamil with temple administrative staff and willing to conduct site visits across the four temples managed by the Hindu Endowments Board.
