Position Overview

The Assistant Director will provide leadership and strategic oversight for enterprise Digital Platform Governance, Security, Architecture, and Automation. The role ensures that Synapxe’s enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, UiPath, M365, Sitecore) are governed through secure, scalable, and automated frameworks.

This position drives platform standards, enforces compliance with cybersecurity and risk policies, defines the enterprise architecture roadmap, and accelerates automation adoption to improve efficiency, resilience, and value delivery. By institutionalising the Centre of Excellence & Innovation (CoEI), the role ensures continuous improvement, innovation, and alignment with business and national healthcare digital strategies.

Role & Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Governance
  • Develop, implement, and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and operating models for enterprise platforms.
  • Integrate governance practices with enterprise architecture, automation, cybersecurity, and data governance.
  • Ensure compliance with MOH, regulatory, and national IT security standards.
  • Establish dashboards and KPIs to measure compliance, automation benefits, and value delivery.
  1. Security Oversight
  • Provide leadership on platform security governance, including access management, data protection, and secure-by-design principles.
  • Ensure security controls are embedded into automation workflows, platform lifecycle management, and upgrades.
  • Partner with IT Security to assess risks, implement mitigations, and ensure regulatory and audit readiness.
  • Drive adoption of cybersecurity best practices across enterprise platforms.
  1. Enterprise Architecture
  • Define and maintain the enterprise platform architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and automation readiness.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to support automation, AI, and platform efficiency.
  • Provide architectural governance in solution reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Align architecture with organisational strategy to future-proof platforms and processes.
  1. Automation & Process Optimisation
  • Drive adoption of automation technologies (e.g., RPA, workflow orchestration, low-code/no-code, AI-driven automation) to improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities across corporate IT processes.
  • Establish standards, reusable components, and governance for automation initiatives across platforms.
  • Track and report automation outcomes, including cost savings, error reduction, and productivity gains.
  1. Centre of Excellence & Innovation (CoEI)
  • Institutionalise the CoEI to scale platform automation, governance best practices, and innovation initiatives.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing, reusability, and adoption of automation frameworks across the organisation.
  • Build sustainable capability in digital governance, security, and automation.
  1. People & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across governance, security, architecture, and automation functions.
  • Build organisational capability through coaching, succession planning, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, regulators, and industry peers to align with national healthcare digital strategies.
  • Represent Synapxe at group-level and industry forums on governance, security, and automation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in IT governance, automation, security, enterprise platforms, or digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in driving automation and digital platform governance at enterprise level.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CSA CCM) and enterprise architecture standards (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Hands-on familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, ServiceNow workflows, RPA tools, AI-driven automation).
  • Certification in ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, TOGAF, CISSP, or automation frameworks is advantageous.
